Economic benefits

 

All the grantees have right to the following economic benefits:

 

1. MONTHLY ALLOWANCE

The monthly allowance varies depending on the type of mobility. The grant only covers months of academic activity (based on the calendar of the Host University).

*The duration of the scholarship depends on the academic calendar of the Hosting University and on the starting of the mobility. 

 

2. TRAVEL COSTS

Each grantee has the right to a round-trip (from the city of residence to the host university, and viceversa).

The prepaid ticket will be purchased by the Coordination of the SILKROUTE Project  or by the European Host University.

For all types of mobility the travel costs will be covered according to the information below:

   More than 5.000 Kms   € 2.000

3. INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE

The Coordination of the SIKROUTE Project will provide each grantee with an international insurance policy offering a full coverage fulfilling the minimum requirements of the Erasmus Mundus Programme.

Other mandatory national insurances that might be needed in any of the European Hosting Countries will be covered by the Project.

4. PARTICIPATION COSTS

The participation costs may cover tuition and/or registration fees, additional library, student unions, laboratory consumable costs, language courses costs etc. on an equal basis to those charged to local and international students.

Residence permit expenses are also included in participation costs. 

For Degree Seeking mobilities and for exchange mobilities of Undergraduate, Master and PhD from 10 months duration on participation costs are covered by the SILKROUTE Project.

From 10 months on participation costs are eligible.

Post doc participation costs are not eligible.

Hosting universities will apply a tuition fee waiver policy to exchange motilities up to 9 months.  

 

NB: European candidates will receive their allowances from their home institutions.
