Language Requirements:

Proficiency in English and Russian is required.

Certificates proving the knowledge of language are welcomed





Academic Requirements



Documents required for the application:


For MA applicant (6 months):

Application form in English or Russian;

Copy of a Diploma with translation;

Recommendation letter;

Enrollment from Home University;

Motivation letter;

Bachelor Degree,

Certificate of enrollment from sending university.



For PhD mobility (6 months):

Candidates must have completed a Master degree and in case of short term mobility, they must already be enrolled within a PhD programme at their home university

Application form in English or Russian;

An English version of the research/teaching/training proposal;

Certificate of enrollment;

Motivation letter.



For Sandwich Doctorate (6 months):

Application form in English or Russian;

Master Degree, certificate of enrollment from sending university;

Enrollment from Home University;

Recommendation letter.



For Postdoc mobility (6 months):

Candidates must have completed their PhD programme

Language skills;

Research proposal;

Recommendation letter.



For Academic/Administrative staff:

General Admission Requirements:

Language skills;

Proved experience in the Study Field;

Recommendation letter.



Services at Talas State University


Information before and after arrival:

Applicants will be provided with visa support in order to obtain a Study Visa to Kyrgyzstan. To arrange it we need the following documents from the applicant:

-       Copy of Passport

-       Application for visa support in English

-       Copy of Ticket Reservation


Invitation letter: The International Relations Office will issue an Invitation letter for the visa application. We will regularly check with the grantees the progress status of their visa application, if they might need any additional document.
They will be provided with the necessary information concerning their stay in Kyrgyzstan.


Accommodation:University will help to find the apartment for accommodation or in a student's hostel.


Arrival Information: On their arrival the grantees must visit the International Relations Office in order to register as a foreign student and citizen within 3 working days.

International Relations Office will help and support their stay in Kyrgyzstan.

There will be monitor to help the foreign students.


Language Courses: Russian and  Kyrgyz language courses are organised if needed for all grantees by the University Language Centre.
